For so many years I've wanted to go to Iceland. Finally, I got there and I wasn't disappointment. Next Tribe crafted a terrific adventure that included physical activities (hiking), seeing as much as one could possibly see in the week's time we had, and along with that a culinary tour de force. I'm a vegan and I had the best vegan food I've ever had. Jeannie Ralston, Next Tribe's founder, lead the tour and arranged for us to be guided by Travelling Iceland, a woman-led agency, which was so appropriate since Next Tribe is all about women. Helga and Addy offered amazing information about their country, and were entertaining and always ready to do more. A great experience!

I enjoyed meeting the ladies including our guide, Marcy. Everyone seemed to all get along and looked forward to the trip once we all arrive. The accommodations at the Best Western were fine. It would have been nice to have had a property with a bar/restaurant onsite. We were challenged on Saturday for the hiking portion of the trip. The trailhead that Marcy selected was closed due to a bike race. So we pivoted to another trail that was too tough for one of the ladies and we had to turn around. I felt that a test run of the trip would have been a great way for Marcy to ensure that she had all the planning set for us. It would have been great had Marcy picked out the restaurants for us to dine at.

Hi Linda: Thanks for your feedback. Sorry for the confusion about the hike. Sometimes events throw a wrench in even the best of plans. We will take all steps to make sure something like that doesn't happen again.

Marcy was a wonderful guide, helpful and kind. We had a small group, everyone got along and we all had a great time. The activities; river rafting, horseback riding, hot springs, and the Sand dunes were amazing, and Colorado was so beautiful. Yet the hiking day/trail could have been planned out better. The trail that we attempted to do was blocked by the annual 100 mile mountain bike race, that we were all aware of. So we took a different trail that we were not familiar with, which ended up being too difficult for one guest. But everyone in the group was good to pivot and enjoyed the day. Suggestion, NT should know the trails we are hiking, and be aware of the local events going on. Another local event we stumbled upon was the annual donkey race in Buena Vista, we all loved seeing the runners come across the finish line. Again, its good to be aware of the local events going on during our trip, we might have missed this fun event. The hotel was OK, not bad, and their breakfast was just OK. As for dinning out: the first dinner in Buena Visit was not good, food was sub-par and the place was dirty, full of fly's and bees in the patio. The next two dinners out, and one lunch out in Buena Vista was suggested by guests that arrived a few days early, and everyone enjoyed those restaurants. Suggestion that NT should research, plan, and know about the restaurants for the trip. Although this trip was wonderful, it would be much more convenient for the guest to include one night in Colorado Springs, perhaps go to The Garden of the Gods, and then all ride together to Buena Vista. Having everyone get car rental to drive in 2 to 3 hours to and from either Buena Vista or Denver might be a deterrent for some guests. Overall it was a great trip, and I would recommend it for future travelers.

Thanks Michelle! We hear you--about staying on top of local events. Still, glad you enjoyed yourself and would recommend the trip. And adding a day in Colorado Springs is a good idea. Thanks for your thoughts and for bringing your fun spirit to the trip.
