It's taken a bit to gather my thoughts on my time with NextTribe in Morocco. I am in complete awe of my experience, the people, the sights, the history and culture. NextTribe has done it again. This was my third trip after San Miguel de Allende for Day of the Dead and a fabulous trip to Cuba. The itinerary was well thought out, the accommodations were very nice and the food!! May I have another tangine? We had to do some last minute pivots in driving plans due to excessive snowfall, but the reward was a magnificent experience way up in the snowy mountains at an Ecolodge. We then drove to the Sahara Desert and experienced the fantastic beauty, breathtaking for sure, of this highly magnificent slice of our world, with visits to an indigenous Berber village and a nomad encampment. WE RODE CAMELS IN THE DESERT! WOWZA. Marrakesh was fascinating with its mix of ancient ways and its modern vibe. LOVED LOVED this trip. I highly recommend traveling with NextTribe and Morocco!

The trip was an enjoyable adventure. Enjoyed the company of the other travelers, exploring a new country and even riding a Camel in the desert. However, Next Tribe did not deliver all the experiences and activities that were advertised. I was disappointed in that since, in my previous trips with travel companies, they went above and beyond to give us what was stated in their advertisement.

Between the amazing places we visited, the wonderful people we met (including the other women on the trip) and the experiences we were offered, this was one of the best trips I’ve taken. A highlight was our guide Mhamed, who took such good care of all of us, which made the time the group spent together even more special. Our trip leader Jeannie E made sure that everyone was included in the activities and regularly checked in on us, which I appreciated. Awesome experience all around.

This trip was so memorable, in large part because we encountered such a diverse array of places and people. Morocco is a varied and exotic place, and I really feel we penetrated pretty deeply for a two-week journey. The mountains, the desert, the city of Marrakech, the food, the crafts, the lifestyles--all fascinating and each venue included hands-on experiences, conversations with locals, and eye-opening sights. Our guide, M'hammad, was simply the best. And when we had to pivot because of weather, this was done seamlessly so that we didn't miss a thing. Not surprisingly, our time in the Sahara (including on camelback) was a real highlight and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. How lovely to share it with such a great group of women!
