About this trip

If the Galapagos has been on your bucket list, this is the way to do it--on a private, 115-foot yacht. We'll spend four days meeting giant tortoises, blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas and the like; we’ll snorkel with seals; learn the unique history and legacy of these international treasures; hike to lagoons and volcanic calderas; and at the end of the day soak in a jacuzzi on deck.

Arrive in Quito

Overnight at Quito airport, preparing for early morning pick up the next day.

Flight to San Cristobal and hike at El Junco Lagoon

Welcome to this 4-day adventure in The Galapagos! Kick-off is early today, your Spanish-speaking driver will pick you up and take you to the airport. You will arrive at San Cristobal Island in the morning.

After passing through immigration and baggage claim, you will be met by a Grand Majestic staff member and transferred to the yacht. You will be shown to your cabin where you will have some time to settle in before lunch and a welcome briefing.

In the afternoon your guide will take you to El Junco for a hike, located in the highlands 19 kilometers from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, El Junco is located in the caldera of an extinct volcano. Rainwater feeds the lagoon. There are many farms and ranches in this area of San Cristobal Island, and sometime cows

can be found near the lagoon.

 

📢 IMPORTANT INFORMATION: In Quito airport, you will have to pass the Galapagos Ingala Control, they will pass your luggage through X-rays to then seal it to make sure that you are not introducing any animal or plant species to the Islands.

Floreana Island: Post Office Bay and Commorant Point

You will land on a beach and head to a spot where 18th century whalers placed a wooden barrel used as an unofficial mail box. The custom continues to this day with Galapagos visitors. So, don’t forget your postcards, and don’t be surprised if the post card arrives to its destination before you even get home!

We will then start our hike to the Baroness Viewing Point. Once inhabited by an indulgent baroness and her three lovers, the history of this island is intriguing. There are easy trails in this area for exploring the flora and fauna of Floreana. In the afternoon, we will have the chance to snorkel and kayak at Comorant Point.

Española Island: Suarez Point, Gardner Bay, and Osborn Islet

Time to visit one of the adventurer’s top Islands in the World! Española, here we will have the chance to hike, snorkel, and kayak. Discovering blue footed boobies, sea lions, albatrosses and Nazca boobies in natural estate.

Includes: Breakfast, accommodation, lunch, dinner, snorkel, wetsuits, kayaks, and bilingual naturalist guide.

Santa Cruz: Twin Craters. Flight back to Quito

Let’s make the best out of this last day in the Enchanted Islands. You will visit the Twin Craters located opposite to each other on both sides of the road leading from Puerto Ayora to Baltra. The view is breathtaking.

After this final visit, you will be transferred to the Baltra airport in time for your flight back to the mainland.

Includes: Breakfast, transportation, bilingual naturalist guide.
