Our Guatemala journey is an intimate exploration of friendship, discovery, and hands-on creativity that goes far beyond conventional travel. From the cobblestone romance of colonial Antigua to the mystical volcanic shores of Lake Atitlán, we'll immerse ourselves in Guatemala's vibrant artistic soul—learning directly from the master craftswomen and cultural guardians who keep centuries-old traditions alive.
Picture yourself grinding spices alongside Maya women whose families have perfected pepián for generations, or working natural indigo dyes under the guidance of a renowned textile artist. We'll share laughter over hand-pressed tortillas, try our skills at traditional backstrap weaving, and connect with contemporary artists whose work bridges ancient wisdom and modern expression.
We have easy, interest-free payment options.
This isn't rushed sightseeing—it's mindful discovery. We move at a pace that honors both the landscape and the culture, creating space for genuine connections, quiet reflection, and spontaneous moments of joy that become the trip's most treasured memories.
Our backdrop? Some of Earth's most dramatic scenery. Thirty-seven towering volcanoes (three still active) pierce the skyline, while ancient Mayan ruins emerge from dense rainforest canopies. Shimmering highland lakes reflect morning mist, and colonial facades glow golden in the afternoon sun. Your senses will be awakened at every turn—by the rich aroma of handmade empanadas and complex pepián stews, the vivid geometries of traditional textiles worn with pride, and the primal calls of howler monkeys echoing through jungle temples.
Please note that this is a sample itinerary. Accommodations and activities may change but we will always replace them with something of equal or better value.

For most of history, women past child-bearing years were basically put out to pasture. This was happening even in our mothers’ time. We call bullshit on that. We believe we are at a peak in so many ways and are devoted to helping women our age live the richest, most kick-ass lives possible.
We do that by informing, promoting and connecting women–through our magazine, through our member community and through the transformative experiences of travel.
So many travel choices…so little time. You could spend days and days trying to put together just the right combination of destination, activities, and price.
Or you could stop shopping and start traveling with us for something that feels like the greatest girlfriend trip ever–even if you come solo. We specialize in experiences that deeply connect you to other women–travelers and locals–and create life-lasting memories. Experiences you can’t get on your own. And do it all with flexible payment options.
This video will tell you if you’re a good fit for a NextTribe trip. We are proud that we’ve become known for how quickly and deeply our groups of women bond on our trips. One of our rules: No divas, please.
